We heed the call to remember the poor, not only those who are struggling
financially but also those who are isolated, distressed, lonely, elderly,
suffering injustice or captives to various abuses.
In everything we have confidence that Jesus has been appointed to release
the captives, to cause the spiritually blind to see and set free the oppressed.
In Jesus new beginnings are not only available but certain.
Our link with the community is ‘The Bridge’ - our purpose
built church based centre. This enables us to
offer comfort and advice on pregnancy, parenting, debt-management, homelessness,
drug and alcohol addiction, in addition to many other local needs.
Our Thursday morning ‘tea and chat Drop In’ has contributed
much to the well being of young and old in the area and often brings us
in touch with struggling people. You can visit us any Thursday morning
10.00am to 12 noon. The Bridge telephone number is 020
8778 5900.
